For iPhone and Apple Watch
The golden hour, on your wrist.
Lightline shows sunrise, sunset, golden hour and blue hour for any place, right on your watch face. Pick the light you want, and it reminds you when to be there.
Your whole day of light, in 24 columns.
Each column is one hour. Taller and warmer means a higher sun. Blue marks the hour around sunrise and sunset. The outlined column is now, with the sun above it.

Apple Watch
Made for the face you already wear.
Lightline has a full Watch app and complications for rectangular, circular, corner and inline slots. They name the light, Golden hour or Blue hour, and count down to it.

Light Columns
The whole day in 24 columns, with the next light and its countdown. On Siri Modular it moves to the center before golden hour.

Light Arc and Next Light
A curve in the colors of the sky, with the sun where it is now. In the other corner, the next light and when it starts.

Light Ring
The day as a ring of dots, with solar noon at the top and the countdown in the gap. Here in an Infograph subdial.
Screens from the watchOS simulator, shown on Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 11. On tinted faces, Lightline takes on the face’s color.

Arrive before the light turns gold.
Golden hour is short. Lightline turns it into an arrival time you can plan around.
- Pick a light window, like tonight’s golden hour.
- Choose to arrive 10, 20 or 30 minutes early.
- Get a reminder at your arrival time. Add your own travel time on top.
- Share the plan as a light card with whoever is coming along.
On iPhone
Everything about today’s light, in one place.
Today opens on the next light and its countdown, the day’s columns, and the light windows still ahead. The whole screen takes on the color of the light that’s coming: warm before golden hour, blue before blue hour, night once the day’s light is done.
- Times and countdowns
- Sunrise, golden hour, sunset and blue hour for your location or any place you search, with a live countdown to the next one.
- Sunset weather
- Cloud cover and chance of rain hour by hour around sunset, from Apple Weather. Plain numbers, so you can judge the sky yourself.
- Light cards
- Share a card of the day’s light, or your plan, with the people coming along.
- Midnight sun and polar night
- Near the poles, days without a sunrise or sunset get their own display. Lightline never invents an event.
- VoiceOver and Dynamic Type
- Countdowns are read out in words, and layouts adapt to the largest text sizes.
- Works offline
- Sun times are calculated on your device, so they work without a connection. Place search and weather need one.
Sun now
Drag the sky through the day.
A realistic sky you can drag through the day to see the sun’s height at any time, its path – gold through golden hour – and how long your shadow will be.
The sky shows the sun’s height and the weather. It isn’t a compass.
iPhone Duo
Made for iPhone Duo.
Unfold it to see Today and a live sky side by side, open Sun now full screen, and plan your arrival in two columns.
